Florida Tourism

Destin, Florida Sunset

The Sunshine State is probably one of the most visited states in the southern United States. After all, where else can you find America’s oldest city-St. Augustine-visit America’s southern-most geographical location-Key West- or visit Mickey Mouse? Of course, there are the 1,200 miles of beaches where the sands range in color form the pure white of the Pensacola-Destin region to the gold and ambers of Coquina Beach and the fine grains of sand that make up Daytona Beach, all waiting to be discovered.

Florida tourism offers an abundance of activities for visitors of every age and interest. You can spend days golfing at renowned courses as you soak up the sun, be pampered at elite spas, go for a boat ride through the Everglades, visit museums and movie locations or simply sit in a lounge chair reading a book as you inhale the salty sea air or relax as a quiet breeze lulls you to sleep.

The state can be divided into 8 regions, so you can easily plan your trip to include all the activities and attractions that you are eager to do enjoy.

This free guide to Florida is owned by GT Media. We provide many informational websites like this guide and our online brochure for free ringback tones. While you're on vacation why not stick a Jimmy Buffett ringback tone on your phone to let everyone know that calls you that you're on vacation.
  • Northwest Florida -Known for white sandy beaches, upscale resorts, the Blue Angels and the National Naval Aviation Museum, and Panama City
  • North Central Florida -Rather than miles of coastlines, here you will feel as though you have stepped back in time to the Old South. You will find magnolia lined streets, small Florida Babetowns, Victorian bed and breakfasts, freshwater lakes and the cozy comfort of small town America.
  • Northeast Florida - The home of historic St. Augustine and bustling cities like Jacksonville, contemporary buildings and old world elegance, unique boutiques and upscale shopping centers-this is a region where old meets new and gets along perfectly!
  • Central East Florida -This region is favorite for those who enjoy outdoor activities such as boating and hiking, as well as action packed adventures like the NASCAR races, rocket launches (visit the Kennedy Space Center) or surfing lessons at Daytona Beach.
  • Central West Florida -While this area’s most famous resident is Mickey Mouse, there are many other opportunities for fun as well. You will find fish-filled lakes, wide open spaces perfect for camping, biking, hiking or horseback riding, and can visit the “World’s largest orange” in Kissimmee.
  • Southwest Florida -What do Florida and Arizona have in common? Rodeos and cow towns! Here in southwest Florida you will find more farmland than beaches plus there are frequent rodeos (the All-Florida Championship Rodeo is the best!), and quiet villages such as those in Bradenton or Bonita. Of course, the area isn’t totally rural- you will also find upscale shopping centers, spas and fine dining.
  • Southeast Florida and the Florida Keys - Latin food, Jimmy Buffett, Palm Beach, Cocktail, and the Everglades National Park are all part of what make this region of Florida a favorite for guests. After all, what’s not to love about the laidback atmosphere of this beautiful beach region!

Florida has all this and much more. Why not take a few days and come see what the locals have known for years- that Florida is as close to paradise as you could ask!
